Ozark Armament 45 Degree Offset Backup Sights

Ozark Armament 45 Degree Offset Backup Sights is a rifle accessory listed on Amazon: a front and rear iron sight set that mounts to a Picatinny rail at a 45 degree angle, next to the rifle's main optic. Overview Most rifles today run an optic first. Offset backup sights give the same rifle a second sighting system without taking space directly in front of or behind the optic. The shooter tilts the rifle a few degrees to bring the irons into line and tilts it back to return to the optic. The Amazon listing describes the sights as folding and flip-up, so they can lie down when not in use. Common reasons to choose an offset set - quick transitions from a magnified optic to a close-range sight picture - a fallback if a red dot battery or emitter fails - optic mounts that leave no room for in-line backup sights Things to check Offset sights need open Picatinny rail at the front and rear beside the optic. Shooters also choose a side: the sights should sit where the rifle rolls naturally for their shooting shoulder.
