FreeUpscaler upscales video and images entirely inside your browser. The file is decoded frame by frame with WebCodecs, enlarged on your own GPU through WebGPU, and re-encoded locally — nothing is ever uploaded to a server. You can verify that yourself: open the page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works. Because the work runs on your hardware instead of a rented cloud GPU, there is nothing to meter. No account, no credit counter, no watermark, no export cap and no file-size limit. Video keeps its audio track, copied across without being re-encoded, so it stays in sync and loses nothing. Every capability claim on the site is measured rather than asserted. The instant shader methods produce a 1080p frame in about 6 ms on a laptop GPU — roughly seven times faster than the footage plays; the neural methods trade that for quality at about 345 ms a frame.
