Job Summary
For People is seeking a dedicated builder of proofs-of-concept to transform new opportunities into working demonstrations of software. This role involves taking client needs (e.g., AI-assisted data quality, modern data catalogs) and building functional prototypes using real public federal data. The output (running code and architectural narratives) supports the growth team in winning contracts and the delivery team in executing programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Stand up working demos and evolve technical stories for anchor contracts.
• Develop demo environments using publicly available federal data.
• Prototype AI/LLM solutions including data cataloging, automated data quality, AI searches, agentic workflows, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Participate in go/no-go calls, shape win themes technically, and vet teaming partners.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for proposal writers and market research conversations.
• Represent the company in industry days and meetings with government leads.
• Write white papers and contribute to the organization's technical voice.
• Collaborate with teams to understand program contexts and recommend new approaches.
• Create documentation, diagrams, and architectural artifacts to instill a solutions architect mindset.
Required Qualifications
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience with modern AI and data tooling, including deploying LLM-backed features, RAG systems, or ML models to production.
• Customer Facing: Comfortable running demos, answering technical questions on the fly, and teaching internal/external teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn dense federal data domains and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear documentation and self-explanatory architectures for diverse audiences.
• Values: Alignment with humility, curiosity, sustainability, and respect.
• Security & Legal: Must be a United States citizen, physically located within the US, and able to pass a government public trust background check.
Culture & Environment
The team is fully remote across the United States with a focus on work-life balance (no return-to-office expected). The role focuses on short sprints and high-impact work supporting systems behind Medicaid, CHIP, and other federal programs serving vulnerable populations.
