Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning (ML) Engineer TechTrend is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join our team. Project staff will design, develop, and deploy an optimized AI-enabled data collection model integrated with AI by Anybody Lakehouse on an Azure integrated cloud platform. While leveraging our client’s established AI and data governance framework, the team will implement data Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) metadata standards and build automated pipelines, reproducible ML workflows, and tiered data access. Duties and Responsibilities • Develop predictive models for survey optimization • Perform feature engineering and algorithm tuning • Validate models through A/B testing • Ensure reproducibility and FAIR compliance Experience Requirements • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on data modeling, data architecture, and data science projects • Minimum 5 years in AI/ML model development and deployment • Experience with Azure platform and related services such as Databricks • Experience with supervised learning, feature engineering, and algorithm optimization • Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architecture and cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Technical Skills • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) • Ability to design reproducible pipelines and ensure compliance with FAIR principles • Strong understanding of data governance and bias detection Education Requirements Required certification in a data science field (CAP, Azure Data Scientist, etc.) Job Location Hybrid, once a week in Reston office-Must live within commutable distance to Reston, VA Benefits • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance • Life, Short and Long-term Disability Insurance • PTO & federal holidays off • 401(k) Plan (matching component included) • Free Gym Access at Headquarters TechTrend, Inc. is a Small Business providing IT products and services to both the government and commercial markets.
