Principal Product Manager – Cloud Database & AI Innovation
Location: Redwood shores, CA highly preferred
Oracle Database Cloud Services is one of the most popular database cloud services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with wide adoption across the globe. We are seeking a dynamic and creative world class Product Manager with expertise and passion in delivering best in class Database Cloud Services. ‘As a product leader, you should be customer focused, possess a product development mindset, and be able to envision the next generation capabilities and functionality for Database Cloud Services. You will be driving innovation in key areas related to roadmap definition, product requirements, feature prioritization, collateral creation, outbound communication, reference generation, and both pre-sales and post-sales support.

As a product manager, you will lead product management for major innovations of Oracle’s Database Cloud Services. You should be able to understand functional requirements and architect solutions, while being very hands-on and able to dive deep into any part of the stack. You should be able to work comfortably in a collaborative, agile, and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will provide:
Leadership:
• Thought leadership and executive direction in establishing and developing processes and methodologies to meet and execute on product strategy
• Proven track record of building and leading results-focused teams
• Ability to influence and communicate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams across all levels of management
• Ability to guide functional projects from design through implementation
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering on product requirements and designs
• Experience engaging with customers and influencing business leaders
Product Definition:
• Define the product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Gather, manage, and prioritize market/customer requirements and product features
• Create business cases and requirements for new features
• Advocate for customer by articulating the user needs
• Documentation review
• Provide feedback to engineering on how well product meets business and customer goals
Go-To-Market Activities:
• Develop product positioning
• Introduce new products to sales, customers, support
• Webcasts, datasheets, FAQs, white papers, websites, blogs, etc.
• Customer references and stories
• Evangelize product both internally and externally
Market analysis:
• Market research
• Competitive analysis
Requirements:
• 7 or more years of product management, preferably in enterprise cloud computing, data/database technologies, and AI technologies
• BS / MS in Computer Science or other technical background. MBA is a plus but not required
• Technical expertise in enterprise cloud, AI technologies, data/database architectures
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Deep knowledge of public cloud and database market
• Analytical skills, with a passion to solve complex technology problems
• Demonstrated ability to learn fast, adapt, and manage multiple complex projects/priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to work across geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
• Experience interacting directly with customers
• Superior analytical and quantitative skills
• Travel: 0-25% (flexible)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $82,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
