About the Role
We are building a real-time AI system that tracks basketball players and teams using mobile phone video, generating live game statistics without on-site statisticians.
This project focuses on computer vision and machine learning applied to real-world basketball footage (handheld phones, varying angles, indoor courts). The system will detect and track multiple players (5v5, 3x3, 1v1), separate teams by jersey color, and output structured tracking data that can power livestream overlays and performance dashboards.
This is a production sports-tech project, not academic research. We are looking for an experienced ML / Computer Vision freelancer who has worked on real-time video, multi-object tracking, and noisy environments.
There is strong potential for long-term collaboration if Phase 1 is successful.
