Job Description:
@Orchard LLC is anticipating a need for several AI Engineers experienced in Generative AI and Natural Language Programming (NLP) to support the Federal Government on several remote assignments. The objective is to identify qualified and interested prospects for rapid deployment as needs arise.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement GenAI-powered solutions (LLMs, embeddings, prompt orchestration)
• Develop NLP pipelines and text-based data processing systems
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production data environments
• Evaluate model performance, scalability, and reliability
• Support deployment of AI solutions in mission-critical environments
• Deliver client-facing data solutions in federal environments
• Translate business needs into production-grade technical systems
• Operate in Agile teams and support the full delivery lifecycle
• Develop audit-ready documentation, SOPs, and technical artifacts
• Contribute to internal platforms, accelerators, and innovation
Required Background:
• Experience in AI/ML engineering, analytics, or software development
• Experience with NLP, LLMs, or advanced analytics
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical execution ability
• Ability to operate effectively in client-facing consulting environments
• Experience supporting federal or regulated environments
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• API development and system integration
• Familiarity with data governance, auditability, and secure data handling
Compensation:
• Base salary range: $120,000 - $230,000
