Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of our Bioproduction Analytical Services portfolio. This is a global role at the intersection of biotechnology, analytical chemistry, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, with direct impact on customer success, innovation, and business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep scientific expertise, strong product leadership, and a passion for translating complex customer challenges into differentiated analytical and AI-enabled solutions. This role is critical to shaping the future of bioproduction analytics and delivering exceptional customer experiences in the rapidly evolving biologics landscape. Location: This is an onsite position in Hunt Valley, MD or Grand Island, NY. Residency within commuting distance of either locations required. No relocation assistance provided. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership • Own and manage the global bioproduction analytical services portfolio, including media analytics, protein analytics, stability studies and investigative analytics • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies encompassing: • Market and customer needs assessment • Competitive and pricing analysis • Service positioning and lifecycle management • Identify future service requirements and growth opportunities aligned with biologics and advanced therapies trends. • Collaborate closely with R&D, technical teams, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure seamless service development, launch, and execution. • Lead and facilitate Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to enable data-driven decisions across the portfolio. • Maintain close relationships with field organizations (sales, technical support) through training and active participation in the sales and support process • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements impacting analytical services. Apply insights to proactively evolve the service portfolio. Innovation, AI & Advanced Analytics • Lead initiatives to integrate AI and data-driven solutions into analytical services and media development workflows • Drive innovation through internal development and external partnerships or collaborations. • Translate emerging technologies into scalable, customer-ready offerings. Hands-On Scientific Contribution • Contribute directly to hands-on analytical chemistry work, as needed, including (but not limited to) raw materials analysis. • Serve as a technical thought partner to laboratory and scientific teams. Business & Financial Ownership • Deliver against annual revenue, growth, and profitability commitments for bioproduction analytical services. • Partner with commercial teams to position and present analytical service offerings to customers, driving market adoption and top-line growth. • Act as the product champion, clearly articulating value propositions internally and externally. • Collaborate closely with R&D, technical teams, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure seamless service development, launch, and execution. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. • 5+ years of experience in product management, scientific services, analytical development, or a related role • Strong technical background in bioproduction analytics, such as media analytics, protein characterization, stability studies, or investigative analytics. • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product or service strategies, including market assessment, positioning, pricing, and lifecycle management. • Proven experience working cross-functionally with R&D, laboratory teams, marketing, sales, and commercial organizations. • Strong customer-facing experience, including customer engagements, presentations, and VOC activities. • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear value propositions for diverse audiences. • Strong business acumen with experience supporting revenue growth, financial targets, and profitability. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. • Hands-on experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory, particularly within bioproduction or biologics development. • Experience integrating or deploying data analytics, digital solutions, or AI/ML technologies within scientific or laboratory workflows. • Familiarity with bioprocess development, biologics manufacturing, and upstream/downstream workflows. • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization and supporting international markets.
